Description
This is the Original WIP comission I made for Smcandy. Its almost finished and I wanted to show my progress of the work.
The symbolism in the picture is that Cain has gone so crazy he now thinks Esther is the long desceased Lilith. The artwork is based off of Kiyo Kyujuo's Manga style, I hope I did it right.
The dress Esther is wearing is based on Smcandy's original design here: [link] and I attempted to draw the roses with a hint of flames to them. (I'm sorry haven't finished her hair or skin tone yet, give me time.)
Cain's costume is based off of the Night or Lords prologue from the Trinity Blood manga, volume IX. The costume symbolizes his postion as the World's enemy and his untinentional striving to become the Prince of the World once he has renewed it by fire. I hope I prortayed his madness well and that I drew his Crusnik form all right.
Lilith's appearance in the background is to symbolize hope and also provides some insight of what is to come in future chapters. (I hope I dre Lilith right, this is my first time drawing her.)
The bite mark on Esther's neck symbolizes blood. (As well as the fact Cain bit her in Ch. 30)
The three white feathers symbolize the three Crusniks. (Thus the Trinity in Trinity Blood.)
The Vampire's moon in the background hints about Cain's intentions about his arrival to the ARK.
The bright star is actually the planet Venus and Venus in ancient texts was known as the "Morning Star" refering to Lucifer.
The moon is a symbol of light in the midst of the darkness as well as the stars around them. (Note: I also hid three Geass symbols, I hope you can find them.)
